THE SOFTNESS OF SPRING WITH ORGANIC BASICS 

Springtime evokes feelings of new beginnings and rebirth after hibernation. Taking to the rugged and mountainous Connemara landscape and enveloping my body beneath the heathers, amongst more wildflowers and the soft lilac tones as the rain soaked my skin, was the perfect way to fully embrace a new phase. 

And, as a Spring baby and a water soul I feel utterly moved and revitalised by new blooms opening, waves crashing and sunlight hitting parts of foliage, fauna and my form that had been tucked away during the colder months. The air our here is cool and brings with it a crispness that is not felt elsewhere in the calendar. For me, this season nests somewhere between nostalgia and Nostradamus; it is an otherworldly season of myth, magic, and a knowingness of things yet to come.

It was while out here exploring the richness of this landscape and standing knee high in west of Ireland plant life, that I felt something settle. Among the rugged bogland and ancient roots while the wild Atlantic water breeze coated my skin, a cold Winter had finally succumbed. In its place, a fresh hope stood proud within me after pushing itself up slowly through the soft new earth.
