SUSTAINABLE RESOLUTIONS WITH KORO
For the last couple of years ringing in a new bundle of months hasn’t been the same and setting resolutions and goals maybe hasn’t felt as motivational as before. Resolutions are often about changing aspects of ourselves that we’re not pleased with, and when we don’t achieve them we feel guilty and demotivated. Instead of this, I have been trying to make conscious and sustainable choices throughout the year which are both ecologically and emotionally sustainable, with the hopes that these steps will allow me to enjoy every part of the process, and value my progress.
An area which would help me be more organised, and one I’ve wanted to focus on for a long time is food prep, time management and sustainable food consumption. I’m hoping to transition to buying foods in bulk, eating more in season, and food prepping so that I am not over-spending, wasting food or buying things I don’t need. This will in turn hopefully make meal times much more convenient and allow me more time to enjoy the foods I love. When embarking on this new challenge, I wanted to find a sustainable, ethically focused and fun business that would help me make my bulk buying dreams come true, and also allow me to explore new things I’ve never tried. It’s for this reason, and so many others which you’ll see over the coming weeks, that I’m delighted to partner with KoRo Ireland.
If you don’t know KoRo yet don’t worry they’ve just launched an option to deliver to Ireland so you’re in good time, and like me, new to trying them. So far I can tell you I’m incredibly impressed with their customer serve, minimal packaged delivery and fun product range. KoRo are an innovative company who are focused on making sustainable, ethical and climate conscious foods that offer an option for their products to be bought in bulk. This not only saves money, packaging and time but it also means that you can stock up your kitchen for longer with traceable, ethical and carefully selected products, providing maximum convenience with minimum waste. And don’t worry, you can buy things singularly too so the shop gives you full flexibility with your order.
KoRo felt like a perfect fit for me because they have an extensive vegan range and already stock things I regularly use such as lentils and other legumes, plant drinks (with barista editions), tea, coffee, tinned foods, vegan supplements, porridge, vegan meat alternatives, pasta, TVP, nutritional yeast, nuts and dried fruits while also offering lots of options I’ve never even heard of before. I’m an avid snack enthusiast and their range includes my favourites such as whole nuts, vegan chocolate, tortilla chips, cookies, sour vegan sweets, popcorn and nut butters (which someone stuck his paws into because he knows what’s good). There truly is a wealth of options available, and I found some new snacks I’d never tried before like this speculoos spread, a vegan protein brownie bar, and these oat biscuits with carob powder.
Usually, I tend to buy my shopping in a rather disorganised manner but KoRo have a lot of the things I love available in larger packs so I am now able to stock up and keep myself happy and full for longer at much better value. Plus having a giant jar of lentils or pasta in my kitchen encourages me to create new dishes with what’s already in my home and as a result I am less likely to be mindlessly spending or running out of things I need at the last minute, which is a very me vibe. Also, I have always wanted fancy jars on my kitchen counter full of dried goods so I can’t express to you how much joy this has brought me, it’s such a small thing and I am surprised I waited so long to do it, it’s a little lesson in taking tiny steps towards making yourself happier.
Not only do KoRo have all the regular staples you’d reach for but they also have some marvellous magical creations which you might not find elsewhere so there are lots of new and exciting things to try. They would be an excellent place to stock up for veganuary and beyond or source some items that might be harder to find at similar value. Their website is a really fun space to explore so have a look, feel free to follow the new Irish KoRo Instagram and keep an eye on the things I loved on my socials.
And remember, you can use my code ERINP5 for an exclusive discount. I can’t wait to see what you get for yourself and I hope KoRo brings you as much joy as it does me.
So go ahead and make your days #Korolicious – grab a spoon and tuck right in! #KoroIreland
